Hwang Hee-Chan hit the ground running and the Wolves fans have taken him to their hearts.
It was reported last month that Liverpool and Manchester City were keeping an eye on the forward.
The theory went that because he is on loan at Wolves, other clubs could muscle in and get him from RB Leipzig.
But the Athletic’s Wolves correspondent Tim Spiers says the ball is completely in Wolves’ court.
That is great news for any Wolves fans hoping their club gets a permanent deal sorted in January.
There is a deal in place and it is up to Wolves to activate it. On the basis of his performances so far, it seems likely they would want to.
Hwang has taken some of the goalscoring burden off Raul Jimenez, which was much needed.
That said, he has not been at his absolute best in recent games and Wolves could do with him rediscovering his best form.
But what Spiers has said makes it clear Hwang cannot be auditioning for a January move elsewhere.
Hopefully he is a permanent Wolves player by the end of February.
