Wolves failed to beat Burnley last night on what was a frustrating evening at Molineux.

The team could really have done with picking up three points against the Clarets ahead of some tough games.

But Wolves couldn’t break their opponents down, and to take just two points from Norwich City and Burnley is disappointing.

No goals last night means that loan star Hwang Hee-chan has now gone five matches without scoring.

The South Korean – here for the season from RB Leipzig – made an explosive start at Molineux, scoring four goals in his first six games.

But the 25-year-old has seen the goals dry up, which is a slight concern given the defensive records of the teams Wolves have played in recent weeks.

Last night, while he looked a threat at times, Burnley dealt with him quite comfortably on the whole.

He was not great at Norwich and also struggled at Crystal Palace.

Wolves have got Liverpool, Manchester City, Brighton and Chelsea up next and simply put, they need their loan star to rediscover his scoring touch.

He has gone off the boil slightly of late, and Wolves need Hwang to step up for what is going to be a challenging period.

The star, whom the club reportedly have a £14 million buy option on, really impressed in his first handful of games.

But for whatever reason, it hasn’t quite been clicking recently.

He was the winner of the club’s October Player of the Month award, so it is slightly disappointing to see him fail to kick on from that.

Interestingly, Hwang has previous against weekend opponents Liverpool, so there’s an outside chance of him getting back on the scoresheet on Saturday.
