Fabio Silva left out of Anderlecht squad, amid speculation he could get new loan move

Fabio Silva is not in Anderlecht’s matchday squad to face Zulte Waregem today, amid speculation the Wolves striker could get a new loan move.

The 20-year-old reportedly has a number of clubs in Europe interested in taking him for the rest of the season.

Supposedly, teams from Spain, Italy and the Netherlands are keen.

It was reported last night ahead of Wolves’ FA Cup third round replay against Liverpool that PSV Eindhoven were the team looking the most likely to get him.

Wolves already have one player there on loan in Ki-Jana Hoever.

It will be interesting to see what happens. But today Anderlecht manager Brian Riemer has decided to leave Silva out of his squad for their Pro League match this evening.

This seems rather ominous.

There haven’t been any reports of an injury for Silva.

So it looks as though something could be in the offing with regards to a fresh loan move for the youngster.

According to Voetbalkrant, Silva has indicated he no longer wants to play for them.

Wolves cannot recall Silva themselves. But they can green-light a move to another club for him.

But any club would have to pay Anderlecht some compensation, since the Belgian outfit did have an agreement to take Silva for the whole season.

Fabio Silva seemingly on the move as he’s left out of Anderlecht squad, hopefully Wolves striker can continue his good progress

So it looks like Silva might be set for a new loan move this month.

It is an interesting development, because Silva has been playing regularly and has scored a decent amount of goals for Anderlecht.

Wolves officials must just feel like it’s time for Silva to test himself against better opposition.

Either that, or something has gone on behind the scenes and it’s appropriate for Silva to end his spell there.
