Wolverhampton Wanderers full-back Ryan Giles has made a great start to life on loan at Cardiff City.

The 21-year-old completed a move there last week, and was in action for the second time against Forest Green Rovers yesterday.

Giles started and got 71 minutes for the Bluebirds, and quickly gave fans a reason to be excited about his signing.

The youngster provided an assist for Cardiff’s first goal.

The warning signs for Forest Green were there when Giles crossed for James Collins on 36 minutes. He couldn’t quite convert that time.

Straight after half-time though, Collins would atone for his earlier miss, netting from another brilliant cross from Giles.

That means he now has an assist in each of his first two outings for Mick McCarthy’s side. He provided for Chanka Zimba against Cambridge United a few days ago.

Giles’ crossing ability is something that could see him become a real hit for Cardiff.

With aerial threats like Kieffer Moore in the team, there is potential for Giles to really rack up some assists in 2021/22.
