Former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is now very much in the frame for the Tottenham job.
The Mail claim that Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici are fans of the man who has been replaced by Bruno Lage at Molineux.
Tottenham’s failure to appoint a new manager has hampered their ability to do transfer business.
Doubts over Harry Kane’s future and Euro 2020 haven’t helped either. Neither has the financial impact of the pandemic.

But now they have turned their attention to a player who is on Wolves’ radar, according to a report from Portugal.
Portuguese outlet Record claim Spurs are now keen on Sporting and Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha.
He was outstanding in Portugal’s 2-2 draw with France on Wednesday night.
Palhinha has a 60 million euro (£51.4 million) release clause but the report says 30 million euros (£25.7 million) could be enough to get Sporting to the table.

Wolves’ top target
It was reported last week that Palhinha is Wolves’ top summer transfer target.
He would bolster a midfield which is in need of new blood.
The fact that Wolves appointed Lage earlier in the summer should allow them to steal a march with planning their transfer business.
Spurs should be on the back foot and Levy doesn’t usually negotiate deals quickly, instead trying to save every penny he can.
It would be galling if Tottenham signed Wolves’ top target, especially if Nuno was the man in their dugout by the time next season kicks off.
But Wolves should be well-placed to stop that from happening, especially with their Portuguese connections and Jorge Mendes pulling the strings.
