Wolves fans are still in shock that Raul Jimenez has completed a return to the club – and the striker has now received a message from Adam Armstrong.
Wanderers have had a brilliant start to the summer so far, which was just the ticket after such a dreadful 2025/26 season that ended in relegation.
The club have launched a beautiful new kit, retained Andre, signed Kieran Trippier and now brought back Jimenez.
The return of such a hugely popular player could be a huge positive for Wolves, who will try to get promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Jimenez has shown over the last few years that he is still a high-level striker, so it’s a real coup for Wolves.
And the brilliance of the move is not lost on Adam Armstrong, who has today sent a lovely message to his new teammate.
Raul Jimenez has returned! 🚨 Is this a good move by Wolves and how many goals is he bagging in the Championship? 🐺

When the move for Jimenez started to gather pace, a lot of Wolves fans then got talking about Armstrong, who had taken the number nine shirt when he signed for the club earlier this year.
The question was, would he give up the number nine shirt if Jimenez came back?
Upon announcing the move, Wolves stated that Armstrong had agreed to vacate the number nine shirt upon learning that he could come back.
Perhaps that little gesture played a part in Jimenez agreeing to come back.
Armstrong has rightly come in for a lot of praise on social media for his selflessness – and today, he has sent a message to the Mexican on Instagram. And it’s very clear what he thinks of him.
He said: “Number 9 is all yours legend! Looking forward to sharing the dressing room and pitch with you!
Jimenez has re-posted the message to his own Story.
It will be quite interesting to see if Rob Edwards looks to use Jimenez in tandem with Armstrong, or if he will go with a lone striker.

Armstrong was clearly signed with the Championship in mind, but Jimenez will surely play a lot of games.
Either way, Wolves fans are just delighted that such a brilliant player has come back to the club when he had offers to go elsewhere.
His signing surely boosts Wolves’ chances of getting back into the top-flight immensely.
