Wolves may have a hard time signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka now

Wolves have recently been linked with a move for Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka – but their hopes of signing him this month are diminishing by the day.

Nelson Semedo and Jonny Castro Otto have both struggled for form.

Both players have been affected by injuries in the past year, which may have been a reason behind their issues.

Apparently, Wan-Bissaka is a player of interest to Wolves.

But Lopetegui is probably now going to have his work cut out.

Pretty much since Wolves got linked with Wan-Bissaka, he has set about proving a lot of people wrong.

The star got a brilliant assist against Burnley in the Carabao Cup. The 25-year-old has played every game for the Red Devils since due to Diogo Dalot’s injury, and he’s looked solid every time.

Against Wolves, he looked very comfortable while Wanderers star Semedo struggled.

And in his most recent display against Manchester City, he was excellent and even showed some dazzling footwork at one point to escape three City players – something that just hasn’t been associated with him previously.

After the game, Eirk ten Hag highlighted his two full-backs for the contributions they made.

Wolves will find it hard to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka after recent renaissance, but Semedo is showing signs of improvement

It would be a real surprise from this point on if Wolves continue to pursue Wan-Bissaka.

His recent turnaround at United has been very impressive.

With him in this kind of form there is just no way ten Hag will sanction his exit.

The only way he would be allowed to go is if they receive a huge offer. Wolves surely don’t have the kind of money United would want.

But Wolves ultimately might not have any regrets about Wan-Bissaka.

Semedo had arguably his best game since joining the club against West Ham.

Hopefully, Lopetegui can now get the star to find some consistency.
