Wolves can now make yet another statement of intent after Andre, Trippier and Jimenez deals

Wolves have made a positive start to the summer – and the club have the chance to make yet another statement of intent.

Although the sacking of Rob Edwards was messy, Wolves have made several positive moves in response to being relegated.

Wolves fans, your immediate thoughts on Andre signing a new contract with Wolves?!

Two new signings have come in, with Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez both joining on free transfers.

Bringing in two experienced heads should really help Wolves’ cause in 2026/27, which has the potential to be a challenging season.

Wolves also tied down Andre to a new contract, which was perhaps the most surprising thing to happen so far.

Now, Wolves should be looking to do something similar with another player.

A lot was made of Wolves’ recruitment last season, but the addition of Ladislav Krejci was a positive.

The Czechia international was the penultimate signing for Wolves, costing around £6 million on loan.

Wolves are to turn his move to the club permanent this summer for another £20 million, taking the total cost to £26 million.

But there has been talk of Krejci ‘doing a Benik Afobe’ and leaving almost immediately after signing.

Because realistically, he is a Premier League player.

According to Fanatik, Krejci is actually wanted by Besiktas, who signed Emmanuel Agbadou from Wolves in January.

There are likely to be other suitors, with Leeds another team previously linked, but Wolves ought to be doing everything they can to keep Krejci.

Perhaps it’s unlikely, given his quality. He may also ultimately try to push for a move.

But Wolves officials need to do their utmost to keep him around, because that would be another major statement of intent.

Should any of these NOT be on this list? And are there any who aren’t there who SHOULD be on? 🤔

Getting Andre tied down to a new deal was huge. Following that up by keeping Krejci would be yet another hugely positive move by Wolves, as they seek immediate promotion back to the Premier League.

Worryingly, Fanatik say Wolves’ plan is to not continue with Krejci.

They also suggest that Agbadou has vouched for the signing of Krejci.

It could be difficult to sell this project to Krejci. But doing so would surely establish Wolves as firm favourites to win the Championship.
