Three bold predictions for Fulham vs Wolves including being on right side of a referee’s decision

Three points are needed, and we have three predictions for Wolves’ trip to Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

The buzz around this game all points to Fulham picking up the win. Alan Shearer gives the Old Gold no hope of three points, and alongside him in agreement is Paul Merson, who thinks things get worse for Wolves.

The importance of this match cannot be overstated, as Vitor Pereira could be sacked if they fail to win. Current reports suggest Pereira is safe, but the mood could shift with another loss.

Fulham are in poor form, having lost each of their last four Premier League games. That provides some semblance of hope for a result in London.

Here are three predictions for Saturday’s fixture.

Jorgen Strand Larsen and Tolu Arokodare combine for a goal

Jorgen Strand Larsen and Tolu Arokodare are yet to start together for Wolves, but that could change against Fulham.

At Molineux News we have predicted Strand Larsen and Arokodare to start, and we are going one step further and saying one will assist the other against Fulham.

So far this season we have rarely seen the two play together, but with the Old Gold chasing three points, having two front men could provide them the right firepower to get a win against Fulham.

Tolu scored against Chelsea on Wednesday night, and Jorgen Strand Larsen is off the back of his first Premier League goal this season. The duo could both have tons of confidence.

It could turn out to be the start of an excellent striking partnership and a solution for the Wanderers turning their form around.

If long throws can return, then so can two big men up top.

The referee will be busy

Wolves and Fulham are the top two for fouls per match, and that will mean the referee will have quite a lot to deal with.

The Wanderers faithful will be displeased with the ref and VAR combo, as John Brooks is officiating, and Andy Madley is on VAR, as the last time these two paired up, it prompted a Gary O’Neil rant.

VAR and referees have long been a cause of frustration for Wolves and supporters, and with these stats, there likely will be some contentious calls.

Let’s hope that with all the expected fouls, the officials can have a good game, and there will be no controversy whatsoever. One can hope anyway.

Wolves get another penalty

With all the fouls mentioned above, we think the Old Gold will go back-to-back games in getting a spot kick.

Jorgen Strand Larsen is the club’s designated penalty taker, and the Norwegian will step up once again against Fulham.

When the moment comes, the Norwegian will slot it away, and hopefully it will be for the winning goal.

Vitor Pereira is in desperate need of some luck at the moment, and being on the right side of a referee’s call would constitute that luck.
