Nuno Espirito Santo was yesterday announced as the new Nottingham Forest manager – and there is one Wolves player he might look to make a move for.
Nuno, who spent four years at Molineux, has replaced Steve Cooper at the City Ground, with fans having been quite divided over the appointment.
Some Wolves supporters were defending Nuno against some of the skeptics. After all, he did achieve brilliant things during his time at Wolves, and is still a very respected figure in these parts.
Nuno got Wolves up out of the Championship and into the Premier League, and was able to guide the club to two seventh-placed finishes in the top-flight.
One man who was key in helping to achieve that was Jonny Castro Otto, a man who now looks to have now future at Molineux after getting involved in a training ground incident.
One wonders if there is a possibility here that Jonny could become a target for Nuno at Forest…
Nuno Espirito Santo may look to hand Wolves defender Jonny a new lease of life at Forest

Recently, Jonny was banished from the first-team at Wolves after becoming involved in a training ground incident, with the details making for pretty grim reading.
It is expected that he will leave the club next month, with his first-team exile having been set until the end of January.
The idea was probably to offload Jonny before the training ground incident happened, but there will surely now be a stronger focus on moving him on.
One does wonder if Nuno might come calling next month, since Jonny was a hugely important player for him during his time at Wolves.
Under Nuno, Jonny established himself as a seriously reliable player, who would turn in at least 7/10 performances on a weekly basis.
The £35,000-a-week star was so dependable at left wing-back, and then of course, he suffered two serious knee injuries and has not been the same player since coming back from the second one.
Maybe Nuno will envisage a potential comeback for the player though.
Nuno knows Jonny and his character well, and might be willing to overlook what has happened for him to be exiled.
When Jonny signed a new contract at Wolves in February 2021, Nuno couldn’t hide his delight, calling the player ‘very talented’ and ‘very important’.
Forest obviously play with wing-backs, and this would certainly be a move that wouldn’t shock too many people.
