Wolves ran out 2-0 winners against Brentford on Saturday – and there was another goal off the bench for winger Hwang Hee-chan.

Wanderers are now seven points clear of the relegation zone with the victory.

It was a fine performance at Molineux, which followed a very good display against Chelsea the weekend before.

Diego Costa scored his first goal for the club after joining back in September.

It was a goal he thoroughly deserved given his impactful displays of late.

And in the second-half, there was another goal from Hwang, who replaced Pablo Sarabia.

Hwang had made a really good cameo appearance against Chelsea. But Julen Lopetegui decided to place him on the bench again against Brentford.

But surely he is now knocking on the door for a start again for Wolves.

Last month, Hwang came off the bench to score an equaliser against Newcastle. He struck within minutes of his introduction at St. James’ Park.

His latest goal against Brentford is his third of the calendar year, with all three coming as a substitute.

Hwang Hee-chan should be considered for a start against Leicester

There is no doubt that Hwang is a real favourite of Lopetegui’s.

The South Korea international has seen plenty of minutes when he has been fit to play.

That has been his issue since Lopetegui came in – he’s had a couple of injuries.

When he’s been available though, he has been very impactful for Wolves. Lopetegui has definitely had a fantastic effect on him.

It’s Leicester next up for Wolves and Hwang is surely in with a great chance of starting.

He’s made a couple of appearances now, after returning from his injury setback.

So he has a bit of match sharpness, and you get the feeling Lopetegui could now turn to the 27-year-old.

Sarabia was decent against Brentford. But he is perhaps the one player from Saturday you think might be in danger of losing his starting berth.

If Lopetegui is thinking about any change, it should be Hwang for the Spaniard.
