Adama Traore’s future remains the subject of heavy speculation, and there is a developing situation that could prompt him to seek a January exit from Wolves.
The winger is out of contract at Wolves in the summer of 2023.

That means the club are perhaps facing a bit of pressure to sell in January.
Failure to do so will mean the player’s value will only begin to decrease moving forwards.
After keeping Traore out of the clutches of Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the last transfer window, the club were supposedly confident of getting him to extend.
But there hasn’t been any movement on the situation since. And there have been suggestions that talks have stalled once again.

One wonders if Traore is simply ready for a new chapter – but there might be another reason he’ll agitate for a move in January.
While most of the Wolves squad are now away on international duty, Traore will remain at Compton Park.
That’s because he wasn’t called up by Luis Enrique, who also didn’t select him for his last squad for games against Italy and France.
Traore may seek Wolves exit to boost World Cup squad prospects
There is a chance that Traore will be feeling that if he doesn’t leave Molineux, he won’t be in with a chance of making Spain’s World Cup squad.
One gets the feeling that he hasn’t really fully convinced Enrique.
He did take him to Euro 2020, but only gave him 13 minutes against Croatia. Spain were 5-0 up when he entered the action.

Having now missed Enrique’s last two squads, Traore might feel a change of environment is required to get back into the picture.
It would be a risk for him to take, but he declared for Spain with the intention of being a regular for their national side. He’ll surely be desperate for a seat on their plane.
