Wolves star Hwang Hee-chan posts message on Instagram after recent injury

Hwang Hee-chan has taken to Instagram to share a message with Wolves supporters after he went off with an injury against Brighton.

The South Korea international suffered what seemed to be a hamstring injury against the Seagulls on Wednesday.

He sustained the issue and then continued to play on, before eventually being substituted for Adama Traore on 16 minutes.

He was unavailable for selection against Chelsea yesterday.

There has not yet been any word from the club or Bruno Lage about Hwang and how severe the issue is.

Wolves fans will be desperate it isn’t too serious, with Wolves’ squad now extremely thin.

With Pedro Neto also still out, Lage is now down to just Traore, Daniel Podence and Francisco Trincao for the wide areas.

Since coming to Wolves, Podence’s fitness record has not been particularly great, so Hwang’s situation is a concern.

The player has today taken to Instagram to check in with Wolves supporters following his substitution against Brighton.

The star uploaded a picture of himself with some strapping on both legs, with the caption ‘I’ll be back stronger’.

Wolves need speedy recovery from injury for Hwang Hee-chan

Hopefully, there will be some information from the club soon about Hwang’s condition.

And hopefully he won’t be out of action for too long.

He may have seen his form dip in recent weeks, but the 25-year-old remains a key player for Wolves and is already highly regarded by Bruno Lage who recently said the player fits the team’s system ‘like a glove’.

He was electric in those first seven or eight games. He actually scooped the club’s Player of the Month award for October he was that good.

Wolves need Hwang fit again and producing performances like when he first joined.

At the moment, the team are pretty toothless in the final third, which is frustrating given how good the defence is.
