Wolves fans have been reacting to the update that Willy Boly is set to miss the rest of 2021.

The central defender has suffered another injury, which caused him to miss the trip to Norwich City on Saturday.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

It turns out this latest muscular problem is fairly serious.

Yesterday Lage provided an update on Boly, who has not featured for Wolves in the Premier League this season.

He said (via Birmingham Mail): “But with Boly we don’t have him with us. He’s an important player for us. Since his injury in Marbella we haven’t had him fully fit to train with us.

“He returned and played against Tottenham but it wasn’t the real Boly. I want to take the best decision for my players and at the moment Boly cannot train.

“He went to the national team and came back with little problems. I want to take care of him and we miss an important player.

“I’m sure after this he will be back stronger and fit, ready to help us in the second half of the season.”

It has been a nightmare calendar year for the 30-year-old.

After suffering a second hamstring injury in the space of a few weeks in February, Boly then got Covid-19 and he really struggled with the after-effects.

He picked up another hamstring injury in pre-season ahead of 2021/22, and just hasn’t been able to get 100% fit.

Wolves fans react following latest update on Willy Boly

Some Wolves fans have been giving their reactions to the news that Boly will be out for the rest of the year.

Unsurprisingly, people are frustrated. Many know Boly is a top player, so it’s difficult to take him being unavailable so often.

Some took aim at the board for failing to provide Bruno Lage with more defensive cover.

And others reluctantly suggested it might soon be time for Boly to be sold, with his contract expiring in 2023.
