A few more Wolves players reported back for pre-season this morning – including exit-linked winger Adama Traore.
A number of players returned to the club last week to begin work ahead of the 2022/23 season.
And now the next batch are back in the building.
Goalkeeper Jose Sa and forward Daniel Podence have both now returned to the club.
And Traore is also back, having been holidaying in Dubai after his loan spell with Barcelona.
Wolves released a short clip of Traore walking into the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground this morning. And some suggested that the 25-year-old was looking a bit glum to be back.
Of course, Traore spent the second half of last season on loan at the Nou Camp, and it didn’t really work out for him.
The star started well, but quickly became a regular on the bench.
Traore was hopeful of earning a permanent move back to his boyhood club, but reports have long suggested they will not be exercising their option to buy him.
So Traore was back with Wolves this morning, and some felt he was a little disappointed.
But the club have since released a longer video of the three returning players.
After entering the building, Traore can then later be seen laughing and joking in the gym with defender Yerson Mosquera.
The clip comes after Traore made a cryptic post on Instagram, where he shared highlights of his time at Barcelona with the caption ‘I am coming’.
Adama Traore back for pre-season training at Wolves, but exit is surely likely
So Traore is back in the building at Wolves.
It will be interesting to see if he is still at the club for the upcoming trips to Alicante and the Algarve.
It would be a real surprise if Wolves did hold onto him beyond this window, because the player has so far indicated he won’t be signing an extension at Molineux.
The club would surely like to get a decent fee for him while they still can.
Recently, Leeds United have been linked with Traore again. The Whites are expected to sell both Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips very soon. And that would put them in a position to make a good offer for Traore.
