Steve Bull believes Morgan Gibbs-White is enjoying playing in a Wolves shirt again.
The midfielder is currently enjoying a fairly productive pre-season for the club.
Gibbs-White has featured quite heavily so far, getting minutes against Deportivo Alaves, Levante and Besiktas out in Alicante.
And he was handed the captain’s armband against Levante.
He’s looked really sharp so far and has linked up well with Raul Jimenez and Pedro Neto.
Speculation continues to swirl about him though, with Premier League clubs like Everton and Crystal Palace reported to be interested in signing him.
But Molineux legend Bull believes Gibbs-White has cut a relatively happy figure over the past couple of weeks.
He wrote in his latest Express & Star column: “Someone else playing with a smile on their face is Morgan Gibbs-White.
“He had been linked with a move away, but he looks to be enjoying himself in a Wolves shirt again.
“Morgan, having been out on loan and learned a few things, will know he has to keep his head down to earn a place in the team and work his socks off.”
And Bull reckons that if the England U21 international does stay, then he’ll have ‘a significant role to play’.
Gibbs-White has looked content during Wolves pre-season, and hopefully he’s keen to say
Gibbs-White has definitely looked like he’s been enjoying himself in the past couple of weeks.
He’s been playing well, and has seemingly liked linking up with the likes of Jimenez and Neto.
It could be that other clubs try and come in for him soon.
But hopefully, Wanderers will stand firm over the academy graduate.
Gibbs-White has matured a lot since he last featured for the Wolves first-team. As Bull says, he could potentially have a significant part to play this season.
