Everton have reportedly not yet tabled a bid for Morgan Gibbs-White.

The midfielder has been the subject of heavy speculation in recent days.

There had been claims that the Toffees had seen an opening bid of £20 million rejected by Wolves.

And yesterday, there were more claims (Sky Sports) that a £25 million bid had gone in.

The Athletic are reporting this morning though that Wanderers are yet to receive any formal bid from the Merseyside outfit.

But they state one is likely to come in the coming weeks.

It is thought Everton are really keen to snap up the England U21 international following his outstanding season with Sheffield United in 2021/22. Apparently they are increasingly confident of landing him.

Frank Lampard is said to want a player who shows dynamism and creativity – two traits Gibbs-White certainly has.

The Athletic say Everton are seeking to bring in young players who are hungry.

In recent years the club have brought in midfield players in their mid to late twenties, and they have turned out to be uninspiring signings.

Supposedly they are changing their transfer policy, and Gibbs-White is very much on their radar.

But no bid has yet gone in for him according to The Athletic.

Wolves are said to be hopeful of keeping Gibbs-White and building the time around him.

However, he could be sold if a club offers in the region of £30 million.

Gibbs-White saga needs to conclude very soon, as report claims no Everton bid has come in

Wolves could really do with this Gibbs-White saga to reach its conclusion.

The club either needs to receive assurances from the player that he will be sticking around. If he doesn’t want that, then Wolves can get to work on his sale.

Should it be the latter, then he needs offloading as soon as possible.

The money generated can then be used to help sign new players.

With pre-season now underway, time is of the essence for Wolves.
