BBC pundit Alan Shearer has named his Premier League team of the week from the final round of fixtures before the October international break.
On Saturday, Shearer’s former club Newcastle went down 2-1 to Wolves at Molineux.
After the game, Shearer made it clear he was not impressed with the performance of Steve Bruce’s side.
But as per the Premier League website, he was impressed with Hwang Hee-Chan.
The South Korean international scored both goals as the Magpies were put to the sword.
That made it two consecutive wins for Wolves for the first time this season.
That’s despite Bruno Lage’s men not playing especially well and relying on a rearguard action.
Shearer named Hwang in his team of the week and said: “Wolverhampton Wanderers were creating chances but not finishing them in the early weeks.
“Hwang proved he can be a key man with his two excellent strikes in the 2-1 win over Newcastle United.”
Hwang showed the ruthlessness Adama Traore was missing in the early part of the season.
He deserves his place in the team of the week and Shearer’s BBC colleague Garth Crooks also put him into his.
