Wolves are supposedly still keen to land Renato Sanches.

It was claimed recently that the club are looking to launch another pursuit of the midfielder in January. The club are also set to turn Hwang Hee-chan’s loan move permanent.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

Sanches was on Wolves’ radar during the last transfer window.

The 24-year-old became linked with the club on the night before deadline day.

That got many a Wolves fan excited. But they would all be disappointed 24 hours later when he didn’t sign.

Ultimately, the club decided against the deal due to the player’s knee injury.

Sanches is now back fit again for Lille, and has made eight appearances this season.

He got a first assist of the season against Angers on Saturday.

Lille could only draw 1-1, which followed a vital 2-1 win over Sevilla in the Champions League.

Sanches is an active Instagram user, and the player has posted after each of Lille’s last couple of matches.

Interestingly, Wolves star Nelson Semedo has now been in the comments in both of Sanches’ last two posts.

He commented ‘Penedo’ after Sanches posted on Tuesday, which translates to ‘boulder/rock’. He then commented several ‘fire’ emojis as the former Bayern Munich star uploaded again on Sunday.

Agent Semedo?

It’s clear that Semedo and Sanches have a good friendship.

Sanches, 24, also commented on one of Semedo’s pictures in late September.

Obviously, the pair play in the Portugal national team together so are well acquainted.

One wonders if Semedo has ever talked up life at Molineux to his friend, amid ongoing speculation about a potential transfer.

Many Wolves fans would like to hope so. He would make the world of difference to the starting XI, so hopefully Semedo’s charm offensive will help lure Sanches to the Black Country.
