Wolves have been linked to Aaron Ramsey on and off for more than one transfer window.
At one point on deadline day, they were reportedly leading the race to sign the Wales international from Juventus.
But the former Arsenal playmaker made a deadline day move to Rangers, which looks a huge coup for the Scottish champions.
Another former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson was asked on Sky Sports News at 2.10pm on 31/01 whether Ramsey would have been a good signing for Wolves.

He replied: “I think so. When you’ve got the two in midfield – [Ruben] Neves and [Joao] Moutinho, and him making runs. Those two would find him all day long and he would score bundles of goals.
“That would suit him down to the ground. Weird that they’ve pulled out Wolves.
“I’m very shocked there isn’t a lot of Premier League clubs in for him. Very shocked. He’s a midfield player who scores goals – good player. There’s no Frank Lampards around any more who score goals from midfield.”
Wolves need another source of goals and Ramsey, if he’d stayed fit, could have provided it.
The biggest question mark over any move to Wolves would be his wages but TalkSport report that Juventus are covering the vast majority of his wages to join Rangers.
That is surely the only way the Scottish club could afford him and indicates that Wolves could have afforded him if they really wanted to get the deal over the line.
