Max Kilman says one Wolves star has been ‘top quality every week’ after Fulham win

Wolves have moved up into eighth place in the Premier League table after a brilliant 2-1 win over Fulham on Saturday.

Wanderers produced a great display at home once again, despite losing two players in the game.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Pedro Neto both had to be withdrawn, with the injury crisis now in full swing for Wolves.

But Gary O’Neil was still somehow able to mastermind a win, against a very decent side. The brilliant Rayan Ait-Nouri opened the scoring for Wolves, before Nelson Semedo’s strike deflected in off Tom Cairney.

Alex Iwobi got a consolation for Fulham with the last kick of the game.

After the match, captain Max Kilman left a comment on one player’s Instagram post that many fans will no doubt agree with…

It was a great performance from Wolves yesterday when things could have gone south.

The injuries to Bellegarde and Neto had the potential to really flatten the team, but Wolves showed brilliant character, and defended well and took their chances when they came.

At times, players were popping up all over the place for Wolves – especially the two full-backs.

Semedo was on the edge of the box for the own goal that he forced, and it was another great display from the Portugal international and after the game, Max Kilman commented on his Instagram post.

Semedo said ‘Big 3 points today, thanks for your support!’, and several of his teammates replied. But Kilman hit the nail on the head with his comment, writing ‘top quality every week’.

Semedo continues to shine for Wolves

Semedo is undoubtedly having his best season season since he came to Wolves, and he is finally justifying why the club paid so much money for him.

There was always a player in there. You don’t play over 100 times for Barcelona if you don’t have something about you.

£80,000-a-week star Semedo was described as ‘impeccable’ against Fulham yesterday by the Express & Star in their player ratings, and that has been the case for so many games he’s played this term.

As one of the members of the leadership group at Molineux, you can see that he is taking more responsibility now, and it’s easy to see why O’Neil is such a big fan of his.
