Former Molineux defender Lee Naylor has branded Matheus Nunes ‘absolutely outstanding’, after his latest outing against Brentford.
The midfielder came in clutch again for Wolves, providing a brilliant assist for Hwang Hee-chan in the second-half.

Diego Costa had opened the scoring for Wanderers.
And South Korea international Hwang grabbed his second Premier League goal of the season, tapping in from close range.
It was a mazy run from Nunes that set Hwang up for a tap in.
The 24-year-old took the ball from the right wing and surged inside, nutmegging a Brentford player on his way.
He squared the ball, and a poor clearance fell straight to Hwang.
The run from Nunes was absolutely brilliant.

It followed his goal against Chelsea the weekend before, which was one of the best seen in the Premier League this season.
Nunes is certainly starting to come good now in a Wolves shirt.
Speaking after the game on Saturday, Naylor said of him (via Wolves official): “He’s been absolutely outstanding. We always knew he had the quality, that’s why he was getting attention from top, top Premier League teams. He’s gone and proved it in these last two games, he’s gone and put himself back on the map.”
Max Kilman said similar, branding Nunes ‘phenomenal the whole game’.
In the first half of the season, Nunes really struggled to influence games for Wolves.
He’s improved under Julen Lopetegui, and in the last few weeks he has really started to show why Wolves paid so much to sign him last summer.
Matheus Nunes has been unbelievable for Wolves in the last two games
Nunes has really stepped up to the plate in Ruben Neves’ absence.
He has thrived playing on the right wing, with Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes in the middle.
He has just looked so confident on the ball. It was as if that strike against Chelsea has made him completely forget about his previous struggles and turned him into a new player.

He just needs to keep this form up now until the end of the season.
The quality has always been there with Nunes. We have seen it in flashes. But it’s the consistency that’s been the problem.
Hopefully, he can really kick on now and shine in most of the games he plays.
