Daniel Podence set up Raul Jimenez for Wolves’ winning goal against West Ham on Saturday.
A smart team move was finished off by a precise finish by the Mexican from outside the box but Podence’s contribution cannot be forgotten.
As per the Shropshire Star, Bruno Lage was full of praise for Podence after his performance.

“Daniel comes inside and helps us to be better and score goals to win games. I know Daniel is one profile and Trincao, Hwang and Adama are the same. I am very happy with the work they are doing,” he said.
“I chose Daniel and he’s doing well. Every time he comes from the bench he helps us to be more solid, consistent and create goals. “Now he played and he played very well. The way we scored the goal was very good.”
“Daniel can give us a dynamic inside and we needed to find that, but not too much inside. We needed to play in half spaces and he’s doing very well in that situation.
“The four defenders, especially the two central defenders for West Ham, are big guys so we needed guys with agility in situations one against one. He’s one of the best guys in our squad to do that and that’s why we chose him.”

We have written elsewhere that Podence now surely deserves another start against Norwich.
Lage has rotated his wingers this season – and he mentioned he is pleased with all of them – but Podence does not deserve to be dropped.
Norwich have won two on the bounce but Wolves should be able to create chances against them and Podence could be a big part of that.
