Wolves duo named on 100-man Golden Boy 2021 list, as well as three transfer targets

Two Wolverhampton Wanderers talents have been named on the shortlist for the Golden Boy 2021 award.

The 100 nominees for the 2021 gong have dropped, and they are officially the most exciting youngsters in the game today.

There is representation for Wolves. Fabio Silva and Rayan Ait-Nouri have both made the list.

Silva, 18, arrived in the Black Country last year for around £35.6 million (BBC Sport).

It was a tough first campaign for him having to cover for the injured Raul Jimenez.

But he showed promise. Now, big things are expected of the former FC Porto starlet.

Ait-Nouri spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Molineux from Angers.

The twinkle-toed left-back caught the eye, and it is expected he’ll turn his move permanent.

Elsewhere on the list, there are inclusions for a couple of players Wolves have been linked with in recent months.

Valencia’s Kang-in Lee is there, with big things expected of the technically-gifted South Korean. He was linked with Wolves in April (Sport Aragorn).

Odilon Kossounou has also received a nod.

The £20 million-rated Club Brugge central defender was linked with Wolves back in March (The Sun).

Thirdly, Lassina Traore is acknowledged. De Telegraaf (via goal.nl) reported Wolves’ interest in January.

Hopefully, the aforementioned players will work hard and end up realising their potential. Ideally in an Old Gold shirt.
