Wolves captain Conor Coady has hailed Morgan Gibbs-White’s pre-season performances.
Speaking to the Express and Star, Coady said that Gibbs-White could be set for a breakthrough campaign this year.
The 21-year-old has been around the first team picture for a while but found opportunities hard to come by at times under Nuno Espirito Santo.

“Morgan has been fantastic, but more importantly he’s a fantastic person. I’ve mentioned before about players willing to learn, and he’s a prime example of that. He’s been brilliant in pre-season,” said Coady.
“Every single day in training he’s lively. He’s trying to get on the ball and learn from, not just from the manager, but all he players as well. He’s still a young player and he recognises that because he’s learning every single day.
“He’s a fantastic footballer, a talented player, and we can’t ask any more of him in pre-season. He is one of the ones who is trying to learn every day, he’s been brilliant.”
When asked if this could be Gibbs-White’s breakthrough season, Coady said: “Without a doubt. This is the football club he’s grown up supporting and playing for, so he knows all about the football club.”

Bruno Lage is also apparently a big fan of Gibbs-White, which adds more weight to the argument this could be a breakthrough season for him.
Wolves’ midfield needs drive and creativity and Gibbs-White has often provided it in pre-season.
Now the challenge is to replicate those performances when the serious stuff starts, and on a regular basis.
