There was some exciting news for Wolverhampton Wanderers fans on Instagram last night who follow Bruno Jordao.

It appears that the young midfielder is continuing his rehab in the gym following surgery earlier this summer.

We covered reports that he was back at Compton at the end of July. However, this update may suggest he is edging nearer to full fitness.

The development could not come at a better time for Wolves, who have a midfield shortage.

Currently, they only have three senior midfielders in the squad – Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker.

After failing to add another fourth option, Jordao could be an invaluable asset for the team this season.

It appears that even though he has not been able to play for the club since 2020, he is firmly in the new coach’s plans.

This follows confirmation that Jordao was included within the club’s 25 man playing Premier League squad submitted last week.

The news will come as a boost for Jordao. Last year, he spent the season on loan at Liga NOS side Famalicao.

There he struggled to make a serious first team impression. His loan was terminated following the injury that he is recovering from, one that he picked up in January.

Returning to Molineux, he will look to add to his four appearances in the old gold and black.

In his previous season at Wolves – the 2019/20 campaign – he also suffered injury issues including a foot injury.

Hopefully it is not long before Jordao is back in a Wolves shirt. Fingers crossed, this will be the end of his injury issues.
