If there is one thing that’s been clear about Wolves this season, it’s that they are a very quick side.
Gary O’Neil has come in and done a terrific job after replacing Julen Lopetegui, and fans have thoroughly enjoyed watching the team under his guidance.
There has been an energy about Wolves this term, with high-octane players like Pedro Neto, Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan probably the most talked about stars.
Wolves like to do things at pace and it makes life difficult for the opposition.
One man who is no slouch is Nelson Semedo, and a pretty impressive statistic has emerged about the Portugal international…
Wolves star Nelson Semedo is the fastest player 30 or over in the Premier League

Semedo has enjoyed a brilliant campaign so far, and was described as ‘outstanding’ by BBC pundit Garth Crooks after Wolves’ recent win over Tottenham Hotspur.
He is arguably one of the most improved players under O’Neil, and it’s clear the manager absolutely loves him given how much he’s played him.
With 2473 minutes under his belt so far, he is one of O’Neil’s most trusted players.
One of the best things about £29 million star Semedo is how athletic he is. The former Barcelona man brings energy and dynamism to that right side, and he is a really effective outlet – although, for the positions he takes up, he should probably score and assist more goals.
Semedo’s speed is a sight to behold sometimes, and a pretty impressive statistic has emerged about the star.
Via Sky Sports, Semedo is actually currently the quickest player 30 or over in the Premier League, having been clocked at 35.9km/h. That actually puts him slightly ahead of Manchester City speed demon Kyle Walker, who’s been clocked doing 35.3km/h.
Wolves lucky to have a player like Semedo
So Semedo – hailed as one of the best players in the Premier League at getting forward last week by Clinton Morrison – is clearly still physically at the peak of his powers, and he is genuinely a top asset for Wolves.
There are so many fast wide players in the Premier League today, and it pays to have full-backs or wing-backs that have a turn of pace.
Semedo’s speed is a huge weapon for Wolves. It allows him to get back in and recover, and sometimes he can bail Wolves out of sticky situations.
But he can also bomb forward and really stretch the opposition.
It is a very impressive attribute, and that ability to burst makes him really well suited to playing as a right wing-back as opposed to a full-back.
