4-3-3: Wolves predicted XI v Man City

Wolves will be welcoming Manchester City to Molineux on Saturday in what will be a difficult game.

Wolves sit just three points above the drop after six games this season.

This a stark contrast to their opponents at 3pm tomorrow, with Pep Guardiola’s Man City side top with a faultless record.

Therefore it is a game which Wolves go into probably not expecting much given how perfect the Citizens have been in the Premier League.

But Wolves have shocked City before and have become something of a bogey team for them so we aren’t ruling out some Gary O’Neil heroics.

But if Wolves are to get anything from this game, the line-up needs to be spot on… Here’s how we see the Molineux side lining up.

Wolves predicted XI v City

O’Neil will be aware that he will need to name a strong line-up to stand a chance against the leagues best team.

So in goal it should without a doubt be José Sá who has today signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until 2027 at least.

In defence we expect to see the usual duo of Craig Dawson and Max Kilman start, where they will be tasked with silencing Erling Haaland.

At full-back, Nélson Semedo should continue on the right with Rayan Air-Nouri on the left.

In midfield the absence of Jean-Ricner Bellegarde means we want to see a deep pivot of Joao Gomes and Mario Lemina, with Matheus Cunha just ahead of them in the 10 role.

In attack, Here-Chan Hwang and Pedro Neto should start on the wing, with both being so dangerous for Wolves this season to date.

It is the three behind the striker that will be vital if Wolves are to get anything from this.

Then up top, Sasa Kalajdzic needs to play as he will be a handful for the City defenders and a target for Neto to whip balls into.

Wolves predicted XI: Sa; Semedo, Dawson, Kilman, Ait-Nouri; Gomes, Lemina; Hwang, Cunha, Neto; Kalajdzic.
