‘Would be a huge mistake’… Wolves fans left stunned by what Vitor Pereira is considering doing

Wolves fans have been left disappointed by something Vitor Pereira is reportedly planning to do in the transfer market.

Wolves are facing one of their most important transfer windows for some time, with key players departing the club.

Matheus Cunha has already left, and Rayan Ait-Nouri is now set to join Manchester City.

Pablo Sarabia is to leave Wolves as a free agent, and Nelson Semedo could follow the Spaniard as his deal is also expiring.

Wolves have put a four-year contract offer on the table for Semedo though, and still have faint hope of him extending.

Losing this kind of quality and experience means Fosun and the recruitment have their work cut out to give Pereira the tools he needs to kick on.

But there could be even more outgoings, with some fringe players likely to head out on a temporary basis.

And one player who could be leaving Wolves on loan this summer is Yerson Mosquera.

Yerson Mosquera suffered ACL and MCL damage back in September in a Premier League game against Aston Villa.

That meant his season was over, and it was a huge shame for Mosquera, who had looked promising in the opening weeks of the campaign.

Now, it’s been claimed Wolves want to get Mosquera out on loan for 2025/26, and it’s even been suggested he’s been offered to several clubs already.

This claim has now reached Wolves fans on social media – and Pereira’s potential to send him out on loan hasn’t really gone down well.

That’s because many had been excited about the potential to see Mosquera in a backline with Emmanuel Agbadou and Toti Gomes.

@RodJones1960 said: “Doesn’t make any sense.”

@OnlyGlove_ added: “This club makes it hard to enjoy football.”

@gricey88 said: “Nooooooooo, part of the back 3 surely.”

@DglezWWFC added: “This is way off the mark for sure, he’s not even back yet.”

Another Mosquera loan would be a shame

Pereira will surely be looking closely at Mosquera in pre-season, but the frustration of the fans on social media following this claim is understandable.

Many want to see him playing regularly for Wolves, but his rotten injury luck means he has played just six appearances for the first-team since signing in 2021.

He looked good in the opening weeks of the 2024/25 season.

And Mosquera playing alongside Agbadou and Toti does feel exciting.

Hopefully he can prove himself over the summer, as it would be a shame to see him playing for another team out on loan again given how comfortable he looked in the Premier League.
