Wolves ‘will be his new team’ as Vitor Pereira transfer offer set to be accepted

Wolves may finally be stepping up their business in the transfer market, as they are reportedly set to seal another deal.

Recently, Vitor Pereira’s side captured the signature of Jackson Tchatchoua from Hellas Verona, strengthening their options at right wing-back.

Adding more depth at centre-back has seemed to be a priority for the Portuguese manager, with plenty of links to central defenders coming out over the last few weeks.

The Old Gold were interested in Jakub Kiwior as well as Axel Disasi as centre-back options. However, Disasi is set to join another English club.

Reports then emerged on Wednesday night that Wolves’ efforts to sign Girona’s Ladislav Krejčí had ramped up, and it seems that the club have finally decided on who they want to sign.

Wolves put £26m offer on table for Ladislav Krejčí that Girona ‘will accept’

Wolves have put forward an offer of €30 million (£26 million) for Girona defender Ladislav Krejčí, according to journalist Nil Solà.

The Czech defender has reportedly already agreed to terms with Wolves ahead of a potential deal for his signature.

Earlier reports suggested that Krejčí had a €30 million (£26 million) release clause, and if true, a deal for the player could move swiftly over the next few days.

The defender would add more options for Vitor Pereira and provide versatility in multiple positions, a luxury that will benefit the Portuguese manager.

Ladislav Krejčí would be a versatile option for Wolves

While primarily playing as a central defender for Girona, Krejčí does have the ability to play in more roles for Wolves.

During a pre-season friendly against the Spanish club earlier in the summer, the Czech international was deployed at left-back, a new position for the player.

Additionally, before moving to Spain, he was prominently known as a midfielder for Sparta Praha, winning the midfielder and player of the season award for the 2022/2023 season.

Krejčí was also the captain of Sparta Praha as they went on to win back-to-back Czech titles, adding even more leadership to the Wolves squad.

The Molineux side have already lost a lot of experienced players, and adding someone who has excelled in a leadership role is another positive from signing Ladislav Krejčí.
