Five Wolves transfers that could happen on Deadline Day including centre-back and in-demand Championship captain

Deadline Day has arrived and Wolves could be one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs.

The Old Gold are still looking to make at least one new signing, ideally two.

Vitor Pereira has confirmed he wants a new centre-back and defensive midfielder so a lot could happen between now and tonight’s deadline.

Although there are less than 24 hours left before the mid-season window slams shut, there are still plenty of deals which could go through.

Let’s take a look at some…

Nasser Djiga – IN

Wolves and Crystal Palace are both interested in defender Nasser Djiga from Red Star.

Signing the 22-year-old will not be easy. Red Star have shown little desire to let the centre-back leave so far but a Deadline Day agreement hasn’t been totally ruled out.

Volodymyr Brazhko – IN

Dynamo Kyiv defensive midfielder Volodymyr Brazhko is a player who Wolves have wanted for a while.

Wolves held talks over Brazhko recently and could return for more negotiations on Deadline Day, especially if Mario Lemina ends up leaving.

Josh Brownhill – IN

Wolves are embroiled in a three-way race to sign Josh Brownhill from Burnley.

Along with Wolves, Everton and Brentford are also keen on The Clarets’ captain. An agreement is not close, with any side, but a late offer hasn’t been ruled out.

Marhsall Munetsi

Wolves are close to Deadline Day deal to sign Marshall Munetsi.

A former teammate of Emmanuel Agbadou, Munetsi could become the second player to arrive from Reims this window.

Mario Lemina – OUT

Mario Lemina has been linked with leaving Wolves all window.

Lemina was wanted by Al Shabab before they signed Glen Kamara. He also held talks with Torino but an agreement has not been reached.

And despite being linked with a move to Turkey, Besiktas released a statement confirming they’re not trying to sign Lemina.

Although it looks like the 31-year-old will remain at Molineux for the second half of the season, out of the whole squad, he is still the likeliest one to go.
