Wolves transfer plan involves at least three players as Vitor Pereira demand emerges

Molineux News can reveal that Wolves are eager to recruit in three positions before Deadline Day of the January transfer window.

Wolves are pushing hard to sign Kevin Danso from RC Lens but, that’s not the only piece of business that the Old Gold are plotting to do.

It’s been a busy window thus far at Molineux, seeing Emmanuel Agbadou arrive and key players linked to exits.

Amid the hysteria of Mario Lemina’s transfer demand and speculation about Matheus Cunha’s future, Wolves have a clear plan to bolster sufficiently before time runs out.

Wolves want to strengthen in three positions before transfer Deadline Day

Vitor Pereira took on the difficult job at Molineux following Gary O’Neil’s failures and now, the Wolves manager’s trust must be repaid.

Pereira has made it clear that he wants several signings this month, with bolstering in defence the priority.

That being said, the Old Gold are also eyeing a new midfielder amid Lemina’s controversy, following on from Wolves’ failed attempt to sign Manu Silva.

As the hunt for a new centre-back takes centre stage, Molineux News can reveal that Wolves are hoping to recruit in three different positions before Deadline Day.

Sources have confirmed that Wolves want to sign a forward this winter, as well as a midfielder and a defender, putting pressure on those above to support Pereira.

It’s said that moves for a midfielder and a defender are ‘up first’ and could be followed by an attacking signing but, it’s not thought that permanent deals will be secured.

The most likely scenario at the time of writing is that Wolves will look to recruit three players, but two of those are expected to be loans rather than purchases.

Loan signings point to Fosun transfer reluctance once again

Earlier in the window, Pereira admitted that he’s unlikely to have his transfer wishes met, revealing his desire to sign two midfielders.

Currently, Wolves have welcomed only Agbadou, with a deal for Danso being worked on and movement behind the scenes ongoing.

What is interesting is the understanding that loan deals are more feasible this winter, which raises the same old story for Wolves as Fosun aren’t ready to loosen the purse strings.

At a time when Wolves are seriously threatened with relegation, it’s rather ominous that the owners are reluctant to release funds that could ensure Premier League survival.

It remains to be seen what the Old Gold do this window but, the club will have to act quickly if they are to deliver Pereira’s demands before Monday’s deadline.
