Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly nearing their first signing of the Bruno Lage era.
The Express & Star are reporting that Yerson Mosquera is set to join the club from Atletico Nacional. A deal is ‘nearing completion’.

Supposedly he will cost around £4.5 million.
It is understood that the 20-year-old will be a part of Lage’s first-team squad for the 2020/21 season.
Wolves’ recruitment team is said to be very excited by his impending arrival. They see Mosquera as a significant coup.

According to Babagol.net, the Colombian ‘understands the game well, reads the play and break shape to intercept passes between the lines; he is hardworking and shows excellent and strong character for his age’.
It is also explained that Mosquera is ‘tall, athletic, fast and robust’.
A marquee name needed in addition
Mosquera may well be a player with good potential.
And it sounds as though he has the qualities to help him adapt to English football.

At £4.5 million it is relatively low-risk, but Wolves must ensure Mosquera isn’t the only central defender coming in this summer.
The backline needs bolstering significantly.
The club need to also be adding someone with more pedigree. Preferably someone coming from a top five league and with international experience.
