Wolves transfer news: Wolves want to finalise Kalajdzic deal in next few days

Wolves are reportedly wanting to close a deal for Sasa Kalajdzic in the next few days.

According to Sky Germany, Wanderers are hopeful of landing the player from Stuttgart, and have belief that they can get him for just under £17 million.

Stuttgart have been holding out for £21 million, but they’re under pressure because Kalajdzic is now into the final year of his contract and won’t sign an extension.

Kalajdzic’s representative was apparently in Stuttgart on Tuesday for further talks.

This information from Sky follows a claim from journalist Simeon Kramer that Kalajdzic was not involved in Stuttgart’s training match today.

The player took part in training in the morning, but did not play in the game. He could be seen on the sidelines along with teammate Borna Sosa, who is also being linked with an exit.

Kalajdzic is a player who could help fix Wolves’ persistent goalscoring issues.

He’s hit 24 in 60 games for Stuttgart, and is also fairly creative having made 12 assists as well.

Kalajdzic seems like the man Wolves want, as report claims club want to wrap up deal quickly

Wolves have already made one bid of £12.6 million for Kalajdzic.

It seems like the Austria international is the man they want to come in and compete with Raul Jimenez at Molineux.

Hopefully officials can soon reach an agreement with Stuttgart. It’s probably unlikely at this point that he’ll be signed in time to face Newcastle United at the weekend.

But he needs to come in as soon as possible so he can begin getting to know his new teammates and Bruno Lage’s tactics.

It is the one signing above all else that Wolves need to make. Anything else is a bonus.
