Wolves transfer news: Wolves strike deal to sign Dario Osorio

Wolves have reportedly struck an agreement to sign Dario Osorio from Universidad de Chile.

According to TNT Sports, the youngster is the subject of a ‘millionaire offer’ from Wanderers, despite reports recently that the club were not even aware of the player.

Supposedly, Wolves have an agreement with Universidad worth £4.2 million.

The 18-year-old only recently made his debut for La U.

He’s only clocked up 13 appearances for the first-team, but is already seen as one of the hottest prospects in Chile.

Osorio made his senior debut for his country back in June, which would surely help his chances of obtaining a work permit.

The starlet primarily operates as a left winger, but has the versatility to play on the opposite flank.

Wolves officials may now be hoping to quickly complete a deal for Osorio, after Bruno Lage lost Chiquinho to an ACL injury at the weekend.

The youngster scored in the 3-0 win over Burnley, but sustained the serious knee injury in a collision with a Clarets player.

He is now facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Wolves need proven players, as report claims there’s an agreement to sign Dario Osorio

By many accounts, Osorio is a very talented young player.

And the injury to Chiquinho may well now see Wolves accelerate their pursuit.

Such a move is unlikely to strike a chord with supporters though, many of whom are crying out for first-team ready additions.

Wolves have lost a few experienced players already this summer.

It is very important for officials to bring in players that have experience and are more proven.
