Wolves transfer news: Wolves keen on Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Wolves are reportedly keen on Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

90min have claimed this afternoon that the midfielder could be set to leave Stamford Bridge as he will only have one year left on his contract this summer.

The player is reportedly a target for AC Milan.

The Rossoneri signed Fikayo Tomori from the Blues in 2021, initially on loan, and he has apparently given a rave review of his former teammate.

Loftus-Cheek, though, has quite a lot of interest from clubs in the Premier League according to 90min.

They say he is intrigued by a potential new adventure in Italy. But Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leicester, Newcastle, West Ham and Wolves ‘are all keen’.

This season, Loftus-Cheek has made 28 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea.

He did actually start the campaign in favour. But he picked up a calf injury just before the World Cup. Regular starts have been hard to come by for him since he returned to fitness, and he hasn’t featured at all for Chelsea in any of their last four league games.

Chelsea are open to offers. But there is no indication of how much they would demand at this stage.

Wolves could be losing Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho this summer.

The Molineux captain has reiterated his desire to play Champions League football. He will have just one year left on his deal this summer, assuming he doesn’t sign an extension in the coming weeks.

Moutinho’s contact expires in the summer, and it’s possible the club may want to move on from the veteran.

Depending on the price, Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be a good signing for Wolves

So Wolves are keen on Loftus-Cheek- and depending on the price he could make for a good addition.

The £120,000-a-week star has had spells in the Chelsea team where he has looked a very tidy player.

He’s physically very impressive, good technically and also versatile enough to play out wide.

Former Blues boss Thomas Tuchel thought Loftus-Cheek had huge potential during his time at Stamford Bridge, stating he needed to ‘discover this monster in him and unleash this on a regular basis’ (via Mirror).

Loftus-Cheek has been with Chelsea since the age of eight. After a few loan spells, perhaps it is now time for a permanent new chapter for him.
