Wolves are reportedly interested in Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
According to journalist Dean Jones, Wanderers are keen on the central defender and have actually been keeping tabs on him for a while.
Wanderers have already sold two centre-backs this summer.
Nathan Collins joined Brentford, and Conor Coady completed a move to Leicester City.
Currently, Julen Lopetegui only has a few options to play at the back. He’s got Craig Dawson, Max Kilman and Toti Gomes as his options at the moment.
But Kilman has been linked with a move to Napoli recently, although the club are looking to keep hold of him.
Jones has said that Wolves are targeting at least one centre-back, maybe two if Kilman goes.
Wolves considering Tosin Adarabioyo move
Jones says that Tosin is a player Wolves could potentially move for.
He told Give Me Sport: “One player that I’ve heard there is a bit of interest in is Tosin Adarabioyo at Fulham. Wolves actually first looked at him a couple of years ago but the player is currently looking for a new club.
“Ideally he is looking for a step up, he wants to join a Tottenham-sized club and those links are already there. But if his top options don’t come through soon then this could become an interesting alternative. It could be one to look out for down the road.”
Tosin joined Fulham from Manchester City in 2020, and has racked up 107 appearances for the Cottagers to date.
He has now entered into the final year of his contract with Fulham.
So there is potential for them to hear offers from other clubs.
Tosin would be a cracking addition for Wolves
It would be great to see Tosin making a move to Molineux this summer.
He is a player the club have seemingly been tracking for a while, and the interest is understandable.
Tosin is a physical specimen. He is nice and tall at 6ft 4in, and he is impressively athletic and mobile.
Not only that, but he’s pretty good on the ball and likes to break the lines with his passing.
Tottenham Hotspur are said to be particularly keen on the 25-year-old. So given what Jones said, Wolves may be up against it to land him.
But it’s certainly something they should look at.
