Wolves transfer news: Wanderers showing interest in young Juventus star Samuel Iling-Junior

Wolves are reportedly showing interest in Juventus youngster Samuel Iling-Junior.

According to Calciomercato, both Wolves and Brighton are looking at the English starlet, who moved to the Italian giants in 2020 from Chelsea, after rejecting an athletic scholarship the club had offered.

Iling-Junior, 19, made his Serie A debut for Juve in October 2022 in a match against Empoli. He then made his Champions League debut just days later against Benfica.

He has gone on to make 12 appearances for the first-team, scoring one goal and making two assists.

Iling-Junior is said to mainly play as a winger. But he is very versatile, and can operate as a full-back, wing-back or even in central midfield.

He is known for his flowing movement with the ball and neat footwork.

Wolves eye Samuel Iling-Junior but face competition from Brighton

Apparently, Wolves are now showing interest in the exciting youngster.

But the club face competition from Brighton, which is an issue.

In recent times, the Seagulls have carved out a reputation for having really strong recruitment. They sign young players who then develop and become worth millions.

Iling-Junior was born in Islington, and potentially he may fancy a move to Brighton to move closer to home.

Calciomercato report that Juve are aiming to keep hold of Iling-Junior. But the list of suitors is apparently getting bigger.

It is suggested that incoming offers of around £13 million would be considered.

Samuel Iling-Junior could be an exciting addition for Wolves this summer – and possible Adama Traore replacement

It has already been reported that Wolves are looking to sign young players that are hungry this summer.

Iling-Junior is a talented youngster with a lot of ability.

In 2020, he was named on the Guardian’s 60-strong list of ‘best young talents in world football’.

It is possible that he could be something of a replacement for Adama Traore, whose contract is expiring in just a few weeks.

According to Breaking The Lines, Iling-Junior is ‘undoubtedly at his best when getting to the byline and crossing’. That is something Traore is very much known for. They also say that he has a ‘real burst of pace’. Again, this is obviously something Traore is known for.

It looks for all the world as though Traore will be leaving.

So it would be good if Wolves could get someone similar to the Spaniard. Because the other wingers Wolves have are mostly technical and like cutting inside.
