Wolves are reportedly showing interest in Palmeiras star Raphael Veiga.
According to Goal Brasil, the attacking midfielder is on the radars of several Premier League clubs at the moment.
The 27-year-old has impressed having scored five goals and made five assists so far this season.
There hasn’t yet been any bids for Veiga. But clubs have been scouting him and studying his profile from afar.
He is under contract with Palmeiras until December 2026, with the club holding 85% of his rights.
At the moment, Palmeiras are not looking to sell the player, with their president Leila Pereira recently saying: “I don’t think about selling anyone. Palmeiras needs to hire.”
It is suggested that Veiga has been Palmeiras’ standout performer so far this season. He is currently their top scorer.
Veiga has been with Palmeiras since 2017, joining from Coritiba.
He has clocked up 203 appearances for the club to date, scoring 66 goals and providing 23 assists.
During his time at the club he has mainly operated as a number 10. But he has also operated out wide on occasion.
According to a feature piece last year from Palmeiras fan site Anything Palmeiras, the 27-year-old is ‘the engine of Abel’s (Ferreira, manager) machine.
He is also very handy from the penalty spot. He’s scored 25 and missed just four.
Raphael Veiga one to keep an eye on with midfielders set to leave Wolves
So Wolves appear to be interested in Brazilian star Veiga.
It will be interesting to see if the club does make a move for him this summer.
Wanderers potentially face losing Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Matheus Nunes this summer.
Veiga is an attacking midfielder, but is very versatile. He does seem very much like the kind of player Wolves have liked to sign in recent times.
