Wolves are reportedly keeping tabs on centre-back Taylor Harwood Bellis.
The Manchester City youngster is currently on loan at Burnley, where he has been a regular feature under Vincent Kompany.
The talented 20-year-old has started every single Championship game for the Clarets so far.
He has been in superb form, helping the club rise to the top of the league table.
Harwood-Bellis has previously had spells at Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City, and the England youth international’s stock is really rising now.
Back at City, there are several top-class centre-backs at Pep Guardiola’s disposal such as Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, Nathan Ake, John Stones and Manuel Akanji.
It will be difficult for Harwood-Bellis to break through, and so it’s possible the Premier League champions may look to sell soon.
And it’s reported by Alan Nixon that Wolves are keeping a close eye on him, as are Leicester City.
Wolves currently only have four centre-halves, having failed to bring in a replacement for Willy Boly on transfer deadline day.
The club attempted to bring in Craig Dawson. But the move fell through due to West Ham United being unable to sign a replacement.
So former manager Bruno Lage proceeded with just Nathan Collins, Maximilian Kilman, Toti Gomes and Yerson Mosquera.
Harwood-Bellis looks a top young talent and Wolves interest should be welcomed
Harwood-Bellis is set for a very bright future.
He is thriving at the moment in the second tier, and he’s only going to keep improving the more he plays.
Guardiola once branded him an ‘exceptional human being with a good mentality’ following a 3-0 win over Preston North End (via Stoke Sentinel).
Harwood-Bellis is a player that likes to play with the ball as well defend, so he could be a solid addition.
Obviously right now he is on loan at Turf Moor, and it’s unlikely any January move would be in the offing.
But he is certainly someone Wolves should indeed be keeping a close eye on ahead of the next summer window.
