Wolves are reportedly showing interest in Elye Wahi.
According to journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Wanderers are keen on a deal for the young Montepellier forward this summer.
Wolves have been tipped to make moves for younger players this summer.
Supposedly, the focus will be more on picking up players like Joao Gomes.
The club signed Gomes for £15 million in January, and the club want to bring in more ‘unpolished gem’ types like the Brazilian.
And it looks as though Wanderers have their sights set on a very promising young striker.
Wolves interested in Montpellier’s Elye Wahi
Toubache-Ter has claimed this morning that Wolves are interested in Wahi.
He adds that Jorge Mendes is involved in the situation.
Wahi has been with Montpellier since 2018 and has seriously impressed with the French outfit.
Wahi is still only 20. But his goalscoring record is impressive, having hit 32 in 91 games.
In the season just gone, he hit 19 goals and also showed a creative side, getting six assists.
He made headlines last month for scoring four goals against Lyon, but still ended up on the losing side.
He is described by The Scouting App as ‘pacy and electrifying’, and ‘a master of losing markers’.
Wahi may come in at Wolves if Fabio Silva is sold
It will be interesting to see if anything comes of this claim from Toubache-Ter.
Wolves do have a focus on bringing in younger, hungry players this summer, but a move for Wahi would probably only really make sense if Fabio Silva left.

Silva is said to want out of Wolves.
But it remains to be seen if he gets his wish. If he does, then perhaps an approach for Wahi will be made.
Otherwise, Wolves would have two strikers of a similar age profile which wouldn’t make much sense.
