Wolves are reportedly looking at a summer move for Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez, and could make a two year contract offer.
SPORT are claiming today that Wanderers are looking to bring the Spaniard in, with the star’s contract expiring.

Fernandez has been with Real his whole career.
But his deal is running out, and there seems real potential for him to finally leave the club he joined in 2001 as an 11-year-old.
Real have actually presented a contract offer to Fernandez.
They have apparently offered him a one-year extension. But they are still waiting on his response.
Fernandez is said to be unhappy with the role he’s had this season and is open to a change.
It is suggested that the arrival of Antonio Rudiger at the club has caused Fernandez’s feelings to change.
He has always been relatively happy with his role as a squad player.
But since the German joined in 2021, Fernandez hasn’t seen a great deal of minutes at the Bernabeu. Carlo Ancelotti still sees him as an important player though.

Wolves would apparently put forth a contract offer of two years if he was keen to come.
The player will surely make a decision soon.
But interestingly, SPORT mention the fact that Fernandez has just become a father, which could see him accept Real’s offer/continue in Spain.
Nacho Fernandez would be a risk-free signing for Wolves, as club reportedly weigh up two-year contract offer
Given the reports about Wolves’ financial situation, news of the club being ready to offer a two-year contract to Fernandez maybe shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Wolves signing Fernandez would be a positive move.
He may be 33 now, but clearly he is still playing at a high enough level for Real to offer him a contract.

He has been a fantastic servant for the Spanish giants down the years. He could easily have left and become a regular at another top club in Europe. But he’s stuck with them out of loyalty.
It remains to be seen if he will finally embark on a new adventure.
He has a lot of interest in him from clubs around Europe. Hopefully, he will fancy linking up with his old manager Lopetegui at Wolves.
