Wolves are reportedly one of the most interested clubs in Barcelona’s Ez Abde.
According to SPORT, Wanderers are showing a keen interest in the Moroccan talent, who is shining out on loan with Osasuna.
Abde, whose full name is Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, has made 19 appearances for the club so far, scoring two goals and making two assists.
While his output is not particularly high in terms of actual goal contributions, Abde has certainly impressed with his electric play style.
Supposedly, his performances have attracted the attention of clubs in the Premier League.
As well as Wolves, there is also now strong interest from Chelsea and Nottingham Forest.
These three teams are showing the most interest at the moment, with Forest ‘especially’ so.
Abde is only on loan at Barcelona, who decided not to include a buy option in the deal, as they feel he has very high potential.
It was recently reported that Barca will be looking to make him a part of their first-team squad for next season.
But given Barca’s financial troubles, selling Abde may not be entirely out of the question.
Wolves have their work cut out to sign Ez Abde with Chelsea and Forest keen
Abde would make a great signing for Wolves.
In a feature piece on his progress at Osasuna, SPORT note that he is a player who excels at dribbling, but is also actually quite a workhorse and does well defensively.
Against Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg, he won 10/14 duels. He also scored the game’s only goal – a cracking run down the left before drilling the ball into the far corner.
Abde will be a very interesting watch in the coming months.
It seems Barcelona would like to keep hold of him.
But if they receive a suitable offer they could be tempted to cash in. It remains to be seen if Wolves will attempt to swoop. Securing Premier League survival would obviously be a necessity if they are to make a move.
