Wolves defender Toti Gomes will spend another season on loan at Grasshopper.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a good campaign with the Swiss outfit last term, making 36 appearances in total.
His contributions helped the club gain promotion to the Swiss Super League.
He will remain with the club until the end of the 2021/22 season, present Gomes with a great opportunity to play consistently for a top-flight team.
Wolves technical director Scott Sellars said: “He showed his quality and potential, and we’re really pleased with his attitude – everything he did for Grasshoppers was really positive.
“It’s a new league, so for him there’s going to be an adaption, but we want him to compete, keep the same attitude and keep developing.”
Gomes only joined Wolves last year from Portuguese side Estoril.
A chance for Gomes to further impress
This is probably the right decision from Wolves.
Gomes impressed last season, and it is probably the right call to keep him where he is for another year.
He knows the players and the management there and will be settled, and it’s a good opportunity for him with Grasshopper now in the top-flight.
Perhaps Wolves can then take a decision on Gomes, who will be 23 when he returns to Molineux.
