Ruben Neves remains a Wolves player for now, but the expectation is that he will depart – and a new report from Spain has claimed his proposed move to Barcelona is not being accepted by everyone at the club.
Neves has just finished his sixth season at Molineux.

He has just won Player of the Season and enjoyed another tremendous campaign.
He appeared to be saying goodbye in the final game at Molineux against Everton when he was taken off towards the end.
We now wait to see what will happen, and speculation has already been rife about the player.
It was claimed recently that Neves is already as good as a Barcelona player.
But SPORT bring an update on the situation today – and suggest that not everyone at Barca is particularly happy about the proposed signing.
The title of their article is ‘Ruben Neves will arrive with (a lot of) internal noise’.

Apparently, some officials are even wanting the agreement that Barcelona have to sign Neves scrapped.
It is again mentioned that manager Xavi is not fully set on signing Neves. Apparently, he prefers Martin Zubimendi of Real Sociedad. But Xavi did actually publicly praise Neves last week.
And SPORT again mention that Jorge Mendes is pulling the strings on this.
The desire is apparently still to try and get Ansu Fati to Molineux.
At the moment though, Fati has not given the go-ahead.
Ruben Neves to Barcelona doesn’t feel ‘right’, given claims not everyone is on board with the signing
Neves potentially going to Barcelona this summer is starting to feel a bit wrong. For a few reasons.
Reports in Spain have indicated for a while now that some at Barca, including Xavi, have reservations about the Wolves maestro.
If that is true, maybe it isn’t the dream move he thinks it is.

Neves deserves to be cherished like he is at Wolves.
It is also suggested again that Barca aren’t going to be paying for Neves. That is difficult to believe given Wanderers have financial difficulties.
We shall see what happens. But hopefully Neves just lands at a club where he will be fully appreciated for the quality player he is. And that Wolves are fairly compensated for losing him.
