Wolves transfer news: Rayan Ait-Nouri also on Chelsea's radar, but Blues closing on Cucurella

Wolves star Rayan Ait-Nouri is also on Chelsea’s transfer radar, but the Blues are closing in on Marc Cucurella.

According to the Express, the young Frenchman has been lined up as a possible alternative to the Spaniard.

But it does not appear that Chelsea will be coming calling.

Fabrizio Romano has reported this morning that a full agreement has been reached between Chelsea and Brighton over Cucurella.

This, after Manchester City cooled their interest with Brighton not budging from their £50 million valuation.

The Express say that Ait-Nouri has been an alternative for both Chelsea and Manchester City.

But it is reported that Wolves officials have no interest in a sale this summer.

He is looking in fine fettle, and seems set to enjoy his best season yet at Molineux.

Ait-Nouri, who cost Wolves £10 million, put in a string of lively displays in 2021/22, which led to reports of interest from big clubs across Europe.

His potential is enormous, and it is little surprise to learn that Chelsea and City have had their eye on him.

Whether City try and make an approach remains to be seen. It does appear that they are going to now miss out on Cucurella.

But if they were not willing to fork out £50 million for Cucurella, then they are surely going to struggle to sign Ait-Nouri.

The Sun did previously report that Wolves would demand £45 million for their exciting talent.

It is encouraging to read that Wolves officials don’t have any interest in selling Ait-Nouri.

The youngster has been looking brilliant in pre-season, and he could be in for a very exciting campaign in 2022/23.

Selling now would be a foolish decision.

Ait-Nouri’s market value has the potential to absolutely sky-rocket in the coming years.

His potential is massive, and Wolves could be rewarded handsomely if they keep him for a couple more years.
