FC Porto are reportedly waiting for official offers to come in for Sergio Oliveira, who has recently been linked with Wolves.
The midfielder seems to be surplus to requirements at the club.
He did not get off the bench against Maritimo at the weekend. And he played for just nine minutes against Farmalicao the weekend before that.
According to O Jogo, Porto are now waiting for official offers to come in.
Supposedly there have been many conversations and expressions of intentions so far. But nothing in the way of an actual transfer offer.
Wolves are given a mention by O Jogo, who say the club have money to invest.
It’s explained Oliveira continues to be followed by English and Italian clubs.
Furthermore, Porto have actually sounded out potential replacements for him in the form of Stephen Eustáquio from Paços de Ferreira and Filipe Soares of Moreirense.
Porto look keen to offload
From O Jogo’s report, it seems Porto are quite keen to offload Oliveira.
It remains to be seen if Wolves will come in with a late offer.
He is a central midfielder with an eye for goal, having scored 20 across all competitions last term (admittedly, 11 of those were penalties). He could therefore be a decent addition depending on the asking price.
If Porto are so keen to get rid, then perhaps there is a deal to be done – especially with Oliveira being another client of Gestifute.
