Wolves transfer news: Kalajdzic and Traore both left out of squads this weekend

Wolves look set for a busy end to the transfer window, with two targets looking poised to move to Molineux.

The club have done fantastic business so far, signing Nathan Collins, Goncalo Guedes and Matheus Nunes, while selling Morgan Gibbs-White for big money.

Bruno Lage has said he expects there to be a few more dealings, and fans are readying themselves for a potentially exciting few days.

The addition of a new striker has been on the agenda for some time now.

And it is looking as though Sasa Kalajdzic is the man Wanderers want to come in and challenge Raul Jimenez.

The latest is that Wolves are expected to submit a new bid for the player over the next couple of days (Fabrizio Romano).

Sky Sports Austria actually claim Wolves submitted a new bid for Kalajdzic last night worth £12.7 million, plus add-ons which are said to be ‘difficult to achieve’.

In his latest press conference, Lage failed to deny there was interest in the Stuttgart striker.

And there has also been fresh talk of a move for Metz midfielder Boubacar Traore.

Journalist Pedro Almeida has claimed the deal is in the final stages, with the French club having accepted an offer for the midfielder.

Interestingly, neither player was in action for their team this weekend.

That potentially indicates that there will be some movement in the coming days.

Encouraging signs for Wolves as Kalajdzic and Traore are both left out

Both Kalajdzic and Traore not featuring for their clubs this weekend is a promising sign.

Sky Sports Austria say that Kalajdzic wants the move to Molineux, it is just about striking an agreement with Stuttgart, who are demanding a lot for a player in the final year of his contract.

With time running out in the window, hopefully both players will increase the pressure to leave.

Wanderers landing these two players would cap off an absolutely excellent window – perhaps the best since Fosun took over.
