Wolves have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Osasuna defender David Garcia.
Radio MARCA journalist Manuel Obama has claimed Wanderers are set to sign the 28-year-old in January. Estadio Deportivo also report on the story, saying the situation is quite advanced.

Apparently, Wolves are going to pay the player’s release cause, which is around £17 million.
Supposedly, Garcia is a player that Julen Lopetegui had wanted to sign during his time at Sevilla.
Garcia has been with his current club for his entire career so far, joining at the age of nine. He made his first-team debut back in 2014.

Garcia has since clocked up 246 appearances for the club.
Estadio Deportivo add that Garcia would double his salary by moving to Molineux.
Wolves fans are hoping to see a new centre-back come in in January, with there currently only being four options at Lopetegui’s disposal.
Nathan Collins and Maximilian Kilman are the main pairing, and then Toti Gomes and Yerson Mosquera are the back-ups.

Toti and Mosquera are both inexperienced, and the feeling is that Wanderers could do with someone in reserve who’s a little older.
Wolves did attempt to sign a centre-back at the end of the last window. The club targeted Craig Dawson, but West Ham United wouldn’t do a deal in the end.
And then there was some interest in a free agent Jason Denayer, but he joined UAE club Shabab Al-Ahli.
David Garcia is exactly the kind of signing Wolves need to make
Wolves went into the 2022/23 season having lost very experienced defenders like Conor Coady, Willy Boly, Romain Saiss and Fernando Marcal.
The four centre-backs Wolves currently have are all talented. But with the exception of Kilman, they’re all young.
It will be good for a player like Garcia, 28, to come in.

He has a lot of experience under his belt, and is currently now playing his fifth season in La Liga (he’s also had a few seasons in the Spanish second tier).
Garcia has recently been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, which suggests the kind of level he is. If Diego Simeone, one of the top defensive coaches in the world, wants you, then you clearly have something about you.
