Fresneda made his debut for Valladolid in January 2022 in the Copa del Rey. But he finally made his league debut back in September.

And since then, he has put in a string of quality performances at right-back.

The 18-year-old has wowed with his all-round game.

He appears to have an excellent balance of attacking and defending, which is rare for young full-backs.

As a result of his consistency, many clubs are reported to be interested in signing him.

Wolves were said to be monitoring Fresneda. But Leeds United, Everton and Southampton were all credited with an interest too.

Mostly recently, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have been very keen on the teenager.

Fresneda has now added fuel to the fire about him leaving Valladolid in the summer. It was put to him by AS that he has been learning English and German, to which he replied: “I have always valued studies for the future, beyond football. I am a person who likes to learn languages.”

He then confirmed that he watches the Premier League.

Ivan Fresneda seems open to Premier League switch but Wolves could struggle, as starlet confirms he’s been learning English

It would be a huge surprise if Fresneda did not leave Valladolid this summer.

He has all the makings of becoming a world-class full-back, and it is little wonder interest in him is so high.

Seemingly, he’s open to moving to England given he watches the Premier League and has also took it upon himself to learn English.

Wolves may be encouraged by this. But it will be very difficult to sign him.

One of the top clubs could very easily come in with a massive for him.

The Sun report his release clause is £26.5 million. But it has previously been suggested this could increase based on appearances.

But with Julen Lopetegui at the helm, there is a chance. We have seen the kind of players that have come in on his watch so far, and the Spaniard has plenty of pull.
